The London Gay Men’s Chorus is looking for a part-time Company Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of the Chorus.
Initially reporting to the Chair of Trustees (but ultimately to the Executive Director) and working closely with the Artistic Director, the Company Manager is a key role at the London Gay Men’s Chorus, responsible for:
- Venue sourcing, liaison & management
- Working closely with the Executive & Artistic Directors of the Chorus on artistic and production endeavours
- Managing performance requests from prospective & repeat clients
- Administration, Finance & IT
As this is a refresh of an existing role, and also involves taking on some activities currently performed by volunteers, we expect the position to evolve over time.
Initially there will likely be a greater focus on reviewing and refining the way we operate and you should be prepared to challenge existing methodologies and recommend new or better ways of working, while being sensitive to the working ethos of the organisation and the voluntary contributions made by many members and professionals.
You will be a self-starter with an ability to work independently. You’ll have some prior experience either in arts administration or in a role which requires a high level of organisational ability.
Lastly, we welcome interest from people looking to work the equivalent of either three or four days a week, who have some flexibility in their actual working times.
